Simon Wilby: on the fast track to the future with The Smart One

Simon Wilby simply wanted a way to keep his phone charged so it wouldn’t die on him when he needed it most. So when inspiration struck, he took pen to paper napkin and came up with the initial design for The Smart One.

The Smart One converts light energy into power for cell phones that installs as an aftermarket product for practically any cellular phone. Recognizing he was on to something big, Simon Wilby wasted no time finding the best patent attorney he could find then flew to China to create a prototype. According to Simon Wilby, it only took seven weeks from conceptualization to production of the first prototype of The Smart One.

Soon, Simon Wilby was setting up corporate headquarters in sun blessed Barbados and looking for new applications based on his ingenious idea. His next goal is to adapt the technology for street lamps and light a way to a solar powered future.
